PLANS for 16 solar panels at historic Cark Hall, Cark-in-Cartmel, met with approval from South Lakeland District Council.
The panels are to be located in a field behind the Grade II* listed house and will not be in full view from any public viewpoints, planners heard. A conservation officer said the solar panels would cause only "minor harm" to the setting of Cark Hall and its Grade II listed summerhouse.
