A CUMBRIAN estate agent is raising its profile on the high street.

H&H King is relocating its Carlisle premises to a corner position on the city's Lowther Street.

The company says it is determined to show "its commitment to the personal and professional approach" in times where some estate agents have shifted their focus online.

The residential sales and lettings company also has a branch in Penrith and has offices in Kendal and Grange-over-Sands under the Michael CL Hodgson brand.

The new office doors are to open in Carlisle in mid-November, at the former Aga shop. Heading up the five-strong team will be Piers Morton, who said: "As a company, we strive to keep abreast of changing trends and to link this to the local market. We view this move as doing just that, providing the highest levels of experience to the area."

Colin Tomlinson, residential sales director at H&H King, added: "When people initially require the services of an estate agency, their first action may well be to access the internet.

"We have excellent websites, but here at H&H King we feel that giving people the opportunity to promote their property through a high street window and the opportunity to explain to an agent face to face exactly what they are looking for proves extremely beneficial to sellers and buyers.

"The personal and professional policy allows a relationship to be built based on trust and knowledge."
