AN 85-YEAR-OLD woman has died following a house fire in Sedbergh on Saturday (November 11).
Firefighters were called at 1.54pm to a house in Bainbridge Road.
They rescued one casualty from the premises, who was suffering from severe burns.
She received first aid from crews before being taken to Manchester Hospital by air ambulance.
Three fire engines attended and the blaze was extinguished with a single hose reel.
Police have confirmed that the woman has since died. The fire is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
