A CHRISTMAS Craft Market is to be held tomorrow (5.30pm-8.30pm) Saturday (10am-5pm) & Sunday (noon-5pm), showcasing gifts from 36 of the finest craft makers in Cumbria. For example, Emma Mackintosh is a glass flameworker based in Hawkshead, and she’ll be displaying unique and individual handmade glassware; Emma Louise Wilson creates original ceramics; Suzanne Jewellery designs and hand makes glass beads, buttons, baubles, flowers and jewellery using a technique known as lampworking. Plus there are craft demonstrations and seasonal refreshments, at Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal.

THE Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway’s Santa Express is set to chug into the station at Ravenglass for a magical Santa Experience. Before or after your train ride to meet Santa there’s a traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings at the Turntable Café (pre-booking essential). A vegetarian option is also available on request. You could also enjoy a spot of retail therapy at the station gift shops (Dalegarth and Ravenglass) plus every child will receive a gift from Santa to take home. THE Performing & Production Arts students of Kendal College chosen panto this year is the well-known tale of Peter Pan. Staying true to the original story, the cast of 20 players has worked hard to make the show as magical and creative as possible, incorporating flying actors, live music, comic characters and fast-paced action. From pirate ships and enchanting mermaids to howling wolves and swashbuckling buccaneers, the panto is sure to be an absolute hoot for children and adults alike. Teletubbies Live - join Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po in their first ever theatre show set in the magical world of Teletubbyland. Look out for the Tubby Phone, Noo-noo and Sun Baby in a fun, colourful and safe world which captures young children's imaginations and encourages them to explore the world around them.
