AMBLESIDE chef Ryan Blackburn, of The Old Stamp House restaurant, has made it through to the knockout rounds of BBC Two's MasterChef: The Professionals.
In the show's first quarter final last week, Mr Blackburn had to create a dish using spices, and he then cooked for three restaurant critics, preparing roe deer with mashed potato, truffles, asparagus and girolle mushrooms, and iced elderflower mousse.
