A NEW lease of life is on the cards for former Burton-in-Kendal pub The Royal Hotel.
Owner Graham Wilson is seeking planning consent to completely refurbish the Main Street inn, where 'time' was last called in 2005.
As well as upgrading the bar, kitchens, bedrooms and dining rooms, Mr Wilson is proposing six new homes on adjoining land. Plans have been lodged with South Lakeland District Council.
