KENDAL Town Council is objecting to plans for six studio flats in the town centre.
A Nottingham-based property company is seeking consent to convert an empty shop at 133 Stricklandgate, and to create a new second-floor level.
The town council said it was concerned about the number of "single living space dwellings" being created. The decision rests with South Lakeland District Council.
