PLANS to demolish ten garages at Allithwaite and build two new bungalows have been rejected.
Lower Allithwaite Parish Council had supported the bid by social landlord South Lakes Housing.
However, South Lakeland District Council planners decided the bungalows and their gardens would be overshadowed and overlooked by neighbours, with loss of light and privacy for the residents.
