NEW research by a holiday home insurance company has revealed that Cumbria and the Lake District is the fourth most popular place in the UK to buy a holiday home.
The research by Schofields Ltd also shows that the average distance a holiday home owner will travel to reach their getaway property in the county is 176 miles. The most popular holiday home location is Cornwall followed by Norfolk and Devon.
