PLANNERS have approved new brackets on lamp posts in Kirkland to hold banners advertising Kendal.
The banners would be just over two metres tall, would stay in place permanently and would not be lit, according to plans lodged with South Lakeland District Council by the council itself.
Such banners are an "established part of the street scene" in other parts of town, stated the plans.
