KIRKBIE Kendal students are looking to raise thousands of pounds for an 'education expedition' to Mongolia.
A group of year 11, 12 and 13 students are preparing for the three week trip, that will take place in July 2018.
The 'World Challenge' adventure consists of time spent trekking, spending time alongside local people and volunteering at a summer camp for orphans.
As part of the challenge, the students must each raise £4,300 which they are doing through both group and individual fundraising activities.
Next year the students will host a Race Night, an auction of gifts and promises and a dragon boat challenge with the Brathay Trust.
The students are seeking support of the local community for these three events, asking for help with sponsorship or prize donations.
