THE most enchanting rags-to-riches fairy tale of them all, Cinderella, graces the stage of The Grand Theatre, Blackpool until January 7. This year the cast joining panto favourite Steve Royle (Buttons) are JJ Hamblett (Prince Charming), Olivia Birchenough (Cinders) and Melanie Walters (Fairy Godmother), as well as Ugly Sisters, Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph.

THE Lancaster Singers will perform Christmas songs and carols tomorrow (Friday, 7.30pm), at the Ashton Memorial, Williamson Park, Lancaster, this event closing the series of Yuletide concerts at this venue for 2017. BREWERY Arts Centre's Christmas production is Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf, a theatrical re-telling of the well-known classic tale packed with music, dance and song. This witty and intelligent show for adults and children alike explores the thrill of adventure and unknown versus the safety of the path and how irresistible straying from the familiar can be. As the rhyme warns, 'Do not leave the path, for you'd make a tasty treat!' Will Little Red heed the warning or will she be gobbled up by the hungry wolf?
