MILNTHORPE Parish Council came in for warm praise at its recent meeting.
Cumbria county councillor Ian Stewart congratulated the village on having "an active parish council
and supportive residents who together got things done".
Meanwhile, past parish chairman Neil Dodds wrote to compliment members on the "excellent results of their work on a number of projects over the past year".
