PLANS for 20 "much-needed" storage containers to be sited on Kendal's Mintsfeet Industrial Estate met with approval from South Lakeland District Council.
Building contractor Lowther and Dawson is to raise the steel structures on pads to allow water to flow beneath them in the event of a flood.
The containers are to be painted and are likely to be used by tradespeople for storing equipment at Mintsfeet Place, Mintsfeet Road North, according to planning documents.
