On November 4, O’Brien was stopped by officers on Hayclose Road, Kendal, in possession of 51 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine and £700 cash.
In his initial police interview, he denied supplying drugs, but later pleaded guilty to the offences at court.
DC Tom Pearman, of the South Intelligence Unit said: “This man had come to Kendal from outside of Cumbria to sell heroin and crack cocaine, and his arrest and the subsequent sentence imposed upon him reflects the serious, pro-active approach that police in the town are taking to street level drug dealing in the area.”
