BEETHAM Parish Council is to speak to the new owners of village pub The Wheatsheaf about siting a defibrillator on a wall at the Church Street property.

The location is next to the Old Beetham Post Office and Tea Room. At their recent meeting, councillors heard a power supply had still to be sourced.

Meanwhile, the council has agreed to buy a smiley-type speed indicator sign, to be located initially at Sandside promenade.
