Woman, 76, dies after A590 collision
A 76-YEAR-OLD woman has died following a crash on the A590 yesterday (January 17).
The incident, which happened at around 5pm at Backbarrow, involved a Honda Civic driven by a 58-year-old man.
The woman, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed.
The road was shut for five hours while police carried out a forensic collision investigation.
Anyone with any information should contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask for PC 2456 or Sergeant 1929 quoting log 145 of January 17.
