POLICE in Skipton have found a woman's body after being alerted by a member of the public.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “At around 12.10pm yesterday (Thursday), police were called to a location near Skipton following reports that a member of the public had found a woman’s body by the river.
"Officers attended the scene and investigations are currently ongoing. This includes work to establish the woman’s identity.”
