AERODYNAMICS, rocket propulsion and telemetry were all in abundance at The Lakes School in Troutbeck Bridge.
Teams of year seven students pitted their design and engineering skills against each other to compete in a national rocket car competition.
Blasting over the line in the quickest time was ‘Chicken Pops’ designed and built by the all-female team of Marlin Plasencia and Nicole Anderson.

The winning team progress to compete in the North West regional final in the spring.
