A ULVERSTON man is in a critical condition in hospital having been struck by a car in the town on Saturday night.
Cumbria Police have said the man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following the incident which occurred at around 10.40pm at Victoria Road.
Officers have arrested the driver of a red Audi A3 on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst over the specified drug limit.
He has been released under investigation whilst officer continue with their enquiries.
