To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph shows the Duke and Duchess of York (later King George Vl and Queen Elizabeth), leaving the Netherfield works of K Shoes at Kendal after a tour of all the departments in 1935.
