TWO have been taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash on the A65 at Settle today (February 21).

The collision took place at 11.50am and involved a red Ford KA and a white Mercedes-Benz van.  

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman was extracted from her vehicle by the Fire and Rescue service and taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Airedale Hospital to be checked over.

The road was closed while emergency services and the Highways Agency responded to the incident.

The road was reopened at 2.48pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either of the vehicles in the area prior to the collision or was travelling in the vicinity and has any dash-cam footage of the vehicles to contact them.
