KIRKBY-in-Furness Community Centre is to get new and improved changing rooms and loos.
Plans to demolish the old ladies' and gents' and build two new extensions at the village hall in Beckside hamlet met with approval from South Lakeland District Council.
The centre, at Lady Moyra Incline, has a playing field, tennis courts, a football pitch and bowling green.
Home to Kirkby's popular summer gala, planners described it as "a well-used and well-supported village hall" in planning documents.
Kirkby Ireleth Parish Council and several sets of neighbours expressed their full support for the changes.
