BEETHAM's paper mill is planning an extra effluent treatment plant to improve the quality of waste water released into the River Bela.
Paper making company BillerudKorsnas is seeking planning consent from South Lakeland District Council for the new plant at Waterhouse Mills. According to planning documents, the EU has introduced new rules which must be met with by December 2018.
