BACK by popular demand, the Blues Cruise will be taking to the waters as part of this year's Bowness Bay Blues festival.

The popularity of the floating festival stage was such that organisers decided they needed a bigger boat for this year, allowing for greater capacity.

A large steamer has been booked, and on year's cruise has Ian Siegal will be headliner on board for the two hour-long cruise.

Organiser Sandra Walling said: "While you explore the beauty of England's largest lake in the heart of the Lake District you can listen to one of the UK's greatest and most loved bluesmen.

"Join us on the water for the most scenic views of the Lakeland fells and quality music."

The cruise sails at 4pm on Saturday 24th March as part of a whole weekend of music in and around Bowness. Tickets are £27.50 each.
