ROBBERS made off with keys to a jewellers after forcing their way into a woman's home last night (Thursday).
Detectives are investigating the robbery at a house on Horse Market, Kirkby Lonsdale, at 9pm.
Offenders gained entry to the victim’s home and one punched her. Both suspects then demanded keys to Isaacs Jewellers on Main Street, which they escaped with.
The victim, a woman in her 60s, suffered minor injuries.
Police said there had been no incidents at the jewellers.
“This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we are calling on the public for their help in identifying the offenders," said Detective Inspector Charlotte Nutter, of South Cumbria CID.
“If you have any information or witnessed anything suspicious in the area of Horse Market or Isaacs Jewellers yesterday evening please get in touch.
“We believe the suspects to be two adult males wearing dark clothing.
“If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may deem it, please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
