Anton Benson Productions presents Alice in Wonderland, an Easter panto showing on Monday (March 26) at 3pm & 7pm, at Lancaster's The Grand. A fantastical, all-dancing, laugh-a-minute show packed full of Wonderland characters including the bonkers Mad Hatter, the dame: Duchess Dolly, the evil Queen of Hearts and hapless henchmen Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee. HYMN To Love - Homage To Piaf tells the story of Edith Piaf (played by Elizabeth Mansfield) and her memories of eight years earlier in the same Manhattan hotel room in New York when she'd telephoned her lover, boxer Marcel Cerdan, begging him to overcome his fear of flying and leave France to be with her. Then she hears the terrible news that his plane had crashed. Marcel was dead. This show is an extraordinary musical homage to the French chanteur which includes 13 of her songs. WRITTEN by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins, Mickey and Eddie, who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, one becoming a councillor, and the other in prison, only to meet again with fateful consequences. DINOSAURS may be long extinct but at Penrith’s Lowther Castle, one of the Lake District’s spectacular attractions, dragons are still laying eggs! So … if you want to become an egg hunter then you have to join the Lowther Dragon Egg Hunt which involves following the clues, searching for dragon eggs and scoffing chocolate! The fun takes place from Saturday (March 24) to April 19.

CONISTON 14 Road Race 2018 – taking place on Saturday (March 24), from 11am - it’s probably the most beautiful road race in Britain and each year attracts more than 1,600 runners with a reputation for being one of the best organised small races in the country. There’s also a short run for children.

The hilly route follows the 114 miles of road that circles Coniston lake and there are stunning views of the surrounding Lake District mountains. More than £20,000 is raised each year and donated to around 30 local charities and clubs.
