A YELLOW weather warning for ice is in place across Cumbria until 10am this morning (March 19).
The Met Office has warned that ice is likely to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, increasing the risk of accidents, as well as injuries due to falls.
Further snow is likely across parts of the southwest of England, easing from the north by morning, with a few light snow showers for other southern counties for a time.
And the A66 is closed due to snow between A67 and A685/B6276 New Road.
Traffic travelling from Barnard Castle will be diverted at Bowes to head towards Scotch Corner and traffic travelling toward Brough will be diverted towards Kirkby Stephen.
