A MICRO pub planned for an empty sandwich shop in Kirkby Stephen has won the town council's full support.
As reported by the Gazette, Steven Howarth is seeking planning consent to convert the former takeaway at Croft Street, a Grade II-listed property.
A letter from an objector was read out at Kirkby Stephen Town Council's recent meeting, claiming the "pavement conditions" outside were "unsafe in relation to the serving of alcohol", but councillors disagreed.
