A FASHION show fundraiser is being staged by a Kendal boutique and a charity for adults with autism.

Tickets are still available for the catwalk show and buffet at Kendal's Castle Green Hotel, say organisers, and businesses are kindly donating raffle prizes for the event next Thursday evening (April 26).

Iluvmemost Boutique, located on Finkle Street, is supplying the women's fashion for the show, which will raise money for the Triple A Project - All About Autism. Founded by Helen Story after her grandson was diagnosed with the condition, this Penrith-based charity was set up to "fill a gap" by offering "much-needed" support to adults on the autistic spectrum.

Projects have included helping to set up the Positive Pals Social Group in Kendal; producing the Autism Alert Card so that autistic adults can identify themselves to police, fire and ambulance workers; and making a training film for Cumbria Police.

Study and awareness days are also offered to carers and care workers, education and health service staff, and employers; as well as advice to anyone who asks.

Fashion show tickets are £20 from Iluvmemost Boutique, email iluvmemost@gmail.com or call Winnie 07758-823143 or Lucy 07875-815383; and also from Triple A's office at Corney Square, Penrith, email info@tripleaproject.org.uk or call Helen 07554-370823.
