VOLUNTEERS are working hard to get Hornby swimming pool "shipshape and Bristol fashion" ready for its long-awaited reopening on Monday, May 8.
Contracts have been signed and the keys have been officially handed over to the Lune Valley Community Society, as proof of the 15-metre pool's transfer to the community.
It is just over a year since the Melling Road building closed due to council budget cuts.
