A WOMAN has been jailed for 18 weeks after pleading guilty to a sustained attack on a Kendal police officer which resulted in her receiving “significant” injuries.
Vanessa Sewell, 39, of Anchorite Fields, Kendal, admitted assaulting PC Addison on Sunday when she appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court the following day.
Sewell was also ordered to pay the officer £300 in compensation.
Sewell also admitted resisting PC Gardner and was jailed for a further two weeks to run concurrently.
She also pleaded guilty to damaging an ornamental deer belonging to Colin Bland, at Sedbergh, and was sentenced to two weeks in jail to run concurrently, as well as paying him £5 compensation.
