MILNTHORPE'S market cross "could do with professional cleaning", Cllr Roger Bingham told the recent meeting of Milnthorpe Parish Council.
The 1910 milestone near St Anthony's House also needs to be made more visible, he told the gathering.
Cllr Peter Capasso reported "long-lying litter" around the playing field's fringes, while on a brighter note Cllr Steven Hurst praised the village's "excellent display of daffodils". He also mooted the idea of a lollipop lady for the Main Street, near TT Carpets, to help pedestrians trying to cross at busy times, especially school pupils.
