The Fell Foot Outdoor Festival (10am – 4pm, Sat 12 –Sun 13 May) is a chance for the whole family to dive into the great outdoors and try water sports like sailing, rowing, canoeing and open water swimming on Windermere, England’s most iconic lake.

If you’d prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, there are activities like Nordic walking and a Parkrun to enjoy, plus events new to Fell Foot this summer including bush craft and yoga.

Sitting on the southern tip of Windermere with views across the lake to the mountains, Fell Foot is a family-friendly park with plenty of space for playing and exploring.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the festival, and enjoy the extensive lawns rolling down to the water, which provide an ideal spot for picnics.

To top of the weekend you can get a sneak preview of the Fell Foot Active Base, a new sports facility funded by Sport England, opening later this summer.

Most of the taster sessions are free and there is a small cost for canoeing, stand up paddling boarding, and kayaking.
