KENDAL hair stylist Kerry Colman has praised Royal bride Meghan Markle's wedding day look.
Kerry, of recently opened Highgate salon Colman & Colman, said: "With bridal hair, it is important to let the hair and outfit work together. The bride wants to look beautiful, but to also feel relaxed and at ease with herself.
"Meghan Markle’s outfit was simple but very sophisticated – she wore timeless Givenchy, which was elegant and sleek. It was totally fitting with her signature classic yet fresh style."
Kerry, whose career in hairdressing spans 25 years, said: "Meghan’s hair was simply styled, allowing us to concentrate on her natural beauty; centre-parted with a looseness around the ears, and topped off with that incredible diamond bandeau tiara that was once Queen Mary’s.
"She swapped her signature messy bun for a cool chignon, slightly loose but low into the neck, allowing the veil to sit well and flow elegantly with her outfit."
Kerry, whose husband is wedding photographer Russell Colman, added: "Meghan’s fresh and natural look demonstrates that less is definitely more, and the beauty of this look was in the fact she looked the definition of a modern-day princess."
