A GROUP of Kendal artists is staging its first 'out of town' exhibition.

Kendal Arts Community has a new show at Natterjacks Coffee House in Ulverston running until July 6, seven years since KAC was first set-up to encourage artistic development in Kendal.

Artwork in KAC's recent Space2Create exhibition at The Factory impressed Natterjacks owner Valerie Madden who decided to invite the Kendal co-operative of multi-medium and multi-talented artists down the A590 to Ulverston.

"When I opened Natterjacks in 2010, I wanted to create an arts venue, not only as a place for artists to show their work, but also to have interesting art on the walls of the cafe for the customers to see," said Mrs Madden.

KAC exhibitions have themes and in honour of their move out of town have called this one Journey.

"It is great to spread the word, and we are so grateful to Natterjacks for displaying our art," said KAC co-ordinator, Zoe Baker.

"I am sure the theme of Journey will bring out the usual wide range of interpretations from our artists," she said.
