A PLUCKY Kendal schoolgirl has raised almost £800 for The Little Princess Trust by shaving off all of her hair.

Ten-year-old Chloé Spencer, of Oxenholme Road, took part in the charity head shave at Old Hutton School, where she is a year five pupil.

Her supportive classmates and teachers watched on as Windermere-based hairdresser Louise Dobie did the honours.

In addition to raising funds for a worthy cause, Chloé will also be sending her hair into The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children across the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

“Chloé’s determination to go through with something that many would find quite challenging, has been so inspiring and we are very proud of her,” said her father Dan Spencer.

“People have been very generous in supporting Chloé’s head-shave, and we thank everyone for their kindness and support. The Little Princess Trust is such a worthwhile organisation and when Chloé read about children who had lost their hair through illness, she really wanted to do something special.

"She has already started thinking about her next charitable endeavour and we do wonder what she has planned!”
