A KIRKBY Lonsdale based home technology company is celebrating 20 years in the business with a charity auction.

Majik House is offering one lucky bidder the chance to win a cinema package worth £12,000.

“We wanted to do something which was unique and could help raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities,” said events and marketing manager Sally Proctor.

The lucky winner of the charity auction will receive a Dolby Atmos certified dedicated home cinema system which includes lighting and lighting control from Rako, surround sound speaker system including Monitor Audio in ceiling speakers, Yamaha subwoofer, Velodyne amp and a state of the art projector.

Majik House will provide a bespoke design service plus its expert engineers and programmers to install the system.

Director Carol Burrow said: "We would love to receive an offer close to the cinema value, every penny we can give to the charities would be fantastic!”

The total amount raised from the auction will go to the Cumbria Community Foundation who are working closely with Majik House to make sure the money goes straight to those in the local area who need it most.

The team have chosen to give the money to two local charities, one based in Barrow and helps local people dealing with alcohol and drug related issues and Kendal's King's Food Bank.

To enter submit a sealed bid before the deadline of June 21 at midday. Terms and conditions of how to enter can be found on the Majik House website.
