MORE than 350 judo players of all ages along with their supporters crammed into Kendal Judo Club’s Dojo, from all over Great Britain, for the biggest tournament in the North of England for many years. Spread over two days and sponsored by “Fighting Films” a well known Martial Arts company from Bristol, the competition kept its promise of excellent contests throughout both days.

From Kendal Judo’s point of view, the highlights were Nye Greasley giving away several grade levels to win his gold medal. Danny Harper giving his opponents absolutely no chance, winning all of his contests well inside the time. Lauren Fox who had to fight two categories above her normal weight in the seniors group for her gold medal and Max Huett-White showing his increasing skills in winning gold in the Orange Belt category.
