CENTURY-old traditions blossomed for another year at Hawkshead's Rose Queen Gala, despite heavy downpours on Saturday afternoon.
The much-loved village event at Hawkshead Esthwaite Primary School saw Bridget MacFarlane crowned Rose Queen for 2018, following on from Amber Glaister.
Crown bearer was Tom Nicholson, banner bearers were Freddie Dixon and Martha Holt, and the Rose Queen's attendants were Dani Birch, Riley Merryfield, Maisie Fieldhouse, Louis Dautry-Hadfield, Kitty Higton, Ethan Haft, Sophie Harryman, Fergus Thomason, Marnie Higton, Khy Allot-Baldwin, Evie Lishman, Jack Spedding, Sophie Bowen and Curtis MacLennan.
School secretary Jane Glaister said: "They all got a little bit soggy but a fun time was had by all."
With a maypole, traditional dances and cream teas, the gala raised more than £2,000 for school funds.
