STORTH village's third annual Ritz-style afternoon tea, served in the village hall by members of the Dallam Rosemere Cancer Foundation Supporters’ Group, raised £1,000.65 for the charity.

The ticket-only event featured savouries, scones and cakes home-made by members of Storth WI and the Dallam supporters’ group, and musical entertainment from Kendal-based a cappella group Pandora’s Handbag, and Harps North West, which includes villager Irene Mower.

At the event, Dallam supporters’ group co-ordinator Alison Charlesworth was presented with an award for her work and commitment.
