MORE than a thousand people gathered at Ulverston's Coronation Hall to enjoy the town's inaugural visit from The Gin Society.
The two day event, which took place last Friday (June 22) and Saturday (June 23) in the town's Coronation Hall, offered attendees more than 120 gins and entertainment from a DJ.
"It was lovely," said co-organiser Shelagh Bourke. "Everybody seemed to have a good time. Everybody was friendly. The venue was fabulous and the staff were really welcoming."
Attendees enjoyed vintage music from the DJ and Shelagh told the Gazette that there were plans for the festival, which travels around the UK, would return to Ulverston for a second event.
