FREEMASONS, their families and dogs completed a Cross Bay walk to raise money for the Blood Bikes charity.
Forty-five walkers signed up for the yearly event, which took place on a hot and humid day, and was led by the Queen's Guide to the Sands, Cedric Robinson.
Leading from the front and one of the first to finish was provincial grand master Norman Thompson, who is to retire from office in September after ten years' service.
He said: "That was one of the toughest walks across the bay I've done, especially in this heat, but it's been very worthwhile, especially in the knowledge the Blood Bikes charity will ultimately benefit."
It is the sixth year that Peter and Debi Caunce have organised the Morecambe Bay trek for the Province of Cumberland & Westmorland Freemasons, helping them to raise more than £12,000 for local charities during that time.
This year more than £1,500 has so far been pledged for North West Blood Bikes Lancashire and Lakes.
