MORE than 1,000 visitors flocked to the annual Arnside and Silverdale Food Festival at Gaskell Hall, Silverdale on Saturday - a record for the event. There was a large display of food and drink, most of which was produced from within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Martin Humphrey, organiser of the event, said: "Back in 2013, we thought the festival would be a one-off event, but five years later, we still feel overwhelmed with the amount of support from people within the AONB and all the visitors to the area.
"It's such a special day and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
"We would also like to thank all our producers for their hard work all year round and their fine displays of such amazingly good food and drink. It all seems well worth it!"
