THREE hundred passengers will take part in Britain’s biggest snogathon on Sunday, July 22, under the iconic clock at Carnforth station where Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson kissed in the classic 1945 movie Brief Encounter.
They will be arriving aboard a special Northern Belle “Brief Encounter” train from Manchester and Huyton – many of them dressed in 1940s-style clothing. A band will play wartime music for dancing on the platform.
