MORE than 1,300 people took part in the Great Cumbrian Litter Pick organised by the Friends of the Lake District.
There were 60 litter picks across the county with 353 sacks of rubbish collected. Among the items found were a crutch, discarded tent, half a rusted old wheelbarrow, keyboard, underpants and more than 20 deflated helium balloons. The next Great Cumbrian Litter Pick takes place on April 26 and 27 2019.
