Helen Jackson, another multiple series champion, proved yet again she is difficult to beat, but it wasn’t without a fight from last year’s and again runner up this year, Haverthwaite’s Jo Cleary.

The Generation Pairs saw a decisive first time series victory for Gerard and Tony Winnard and the Adult Pairs, always competitive to the last, saw Ben and Lee Proctor repeat their success of 2017.

More than 300 competitors took part in the 6-event series this year, the 23rd of the event’s running, proving the enduring popularity of Lakeland Lanequests, and with the 25th year not too far away, these cycling orienteering events based around South Lakeland continue to attract competitors of all ages and ability
