While your letters page undoubtedly provides much-needed stress relief for some, a recent issue carried 14 letters, 13 of which were rants, whinges and moans (about planes, poo bags, parking, people and planning).

Just one letter seemed to bring any cheer to our auld grey town (an Australian lady who really loved marmalade).

Could I ask the Gazette and its readers to bring a bit more positivity to our lives? It might prove to be an even better technique for us readers to de-stress.
