MONIES left over following the winding up of the Lakeland Rose Show has been donated to charity.
Former directors and committee members (pictured) donated £7,350 to the Lakeland Horticultural Society who voluntarily run the gardens at Holehird, Windermere.
The money will be used to change a pathway at the gardens, which would give better access and provide a much-improved walking surface. The decision was made following discussions with Alan Oatway, chairman of the Lakeland Horticultural Society. A group of Lakeland Rose Show representatives also visited Holehird and agreed on the project.
