THE Holme Festival of Sport took place last weekend.
Friday evening (July 13) consisted of a Tug-of-War competition and a BBQ.
Saturday (July 14) began with the Holme Howler, an obstacle race around the roads, fields, canal and community field in Holme village. Runners cooled down in the heat by completing the 50-metre waterslide twice as part of the course. Children ran the 'mini howler and in the afternoon 12 teams took part in the Holme Athletic FC 5-a-side football competition.
Sunday (July 15) included village sports and games for all ages and the weekend concluded with a raffle draw and BBQ.
